Rank Descriptions:
-Superiors-
High Priest(ess): The highest achievable rank within the coven.
Priest(ess): The second-in-command. The priest(s) and/or priestess(es) oversee the coven in the absence of the coven leaders. They are typically next-in-line to inherit the coven.
Spiritualists: The third-in-command.
Valkyrie: Oversees hunters and warriors. Organizes hunting expeditions and formulates battle strategies.
Clairvoyant: The coven's primary messenger. The clairvoyant will relay messages to other covens and entities when needed and acts as a bridge of communication between the coven and the Inbetween Place.
Salutary: The primary healer of the coven. They guide/oversee the herbalists.
-Subordinates-
Elders: Though they are not directly involved in decisions pertaining to the coven, they are often consulted for their wisdom. They are respected and revered informal members of the coven.
Warriors: Protects the coven's members and resources.
Harvesters: Hunts for food to feed and sustain the coven's members. Also maintains the gardens and harvests vegetables and fruits as they become ripe.
Herbalists: They are knowledgeable of potions and herbs and are responsible for healing those who come into their care.
Seers: The seers patrol the borders, accompany the clairvoyant to the Inbetween Place, and assist the clairvoyant when relaying information to other covens and creatures.
Empaths: The "omegas" of the coven. They are the lowest ranking members (with the exception of children and adolescents) but act as the thread that keeps everyone together. They lift the spirits of their comrades when times are difficult.
Fairies: The adolescents of the group. They begin supervised training in magic when they become 13 years of age. They are allowed to practice unsupervised magic once they reach 16. They are formally ranked in the coven when they turn 18.
Pixies: The children or younglings of the group. They are forbidden from practicing magic, but are allowed to observe the ongoings of the coven in preparation for when they are old enough to begin training. Ages 0-12.
Wanderers: They are solitary witches who belong to no coven.
